Why have a personal agent?
I get this question all the time and in this world, where everyone seems to do all their shopping on the Internet, why not shop for your insurance the same way? Isn't insurance just a necessary evil? Aren't insurance agents out there just to make money? What can a Personal Insurance Agent do for me?
Those of you who have experienced filing a claim have either been disappointed with the experience or satisfied with the end result. I have found that people disappointed with the final result of the claims process usually did not have an agent that took the time to explain the coverage they were buying or properly evaluate the needs of the client. Some agents also fail at following up with the client annually, at the least, to see if any changes have occurred. This is an important step that is easily overlooked, but personal agents can help follow up and remind you to update any information. that has changed. The people satisfied with the final results usually have an agent that took the time to understand them and their needs, set clear expectations and when the incident occurred, worked with the client to get a satisfactory result.
I take great pride in providing excellent service and products to my clients. I want to be there for my clients when they have a potential claim and advise them on the best course of action. Many people don’t realize that simply picking up the phone to call the “800” number to ask about coverage can end up having a “no pay out” claim on their file.
